Christopher Martin "Chris" Allen (born 3 January 1989) in Devizes, Wiltshire) is an English footballer currently unattached after being released by Swindon Town in May 2009. He has recently signed a two-year professional contract with his local club.
Chris Allen began his junior career with his local Devizes Under-9s team before joining the youth set-up at Swindon Town. Allen was involved with the Swindon team that reached the quarter-final stages of the FA Youth Cup before getting knocked out by Newcastle United.
Despite fellow youth players Jon Stewart, Scott Doe and Luke Hopper being released Swindon Town manager Paul Sturrock offered Allen a two-year professional deal which was signed on 9 May 2007.
