Club Atlético San Martín are a football club based in the city of Tucumán, Argentina. They currently play in Argentine Primera having won promotion from Primera B Nacional in 2008.
San Martin played every season in the Nacional championship between 1968 and 1985. They have also played 2 seasons in the Primera División, in 1988/89 and in 1991/92.
The club's most notable victory was a 6-1 win over Boca Juniors in the Bombonera on November 20, 1988.
After several years in relegation, San Martín will play the Apertura 2008 in the premier division of Argentine Football. The team lead the B Nacional tournament to receive its award of a spot in Primera División Argentina.[1]
