The conducting zone of the respiratory system is made up of the trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, and terminal bronchioles. It is composed of the 1st through the 16th division of the respiratory tract.

  4. Phonates

The respiratory zone is the site of oxygen and carbon dioxide gas exchange, and is composed of the respiratory bronchioles, alveolar ducts, and alveoli.
