Lavon Lynn Heidemann (born October 24, 1958) is a non-partisan member of the Nebraska Legislature, representing the 1st District since 2004. His district is in southeast Nebraska. He is currently the Chairman of the Appropriations Committee.
Born in Pawnee City, Nebraska, he graduated from Elk Creek High School in 1977. He was a farmer and a member of the Elk Creek Public Schools Board of Education, and currently is a member of the Local fire district board as well as St. Peter's Lutheran Church.

He ran and won against Floyd P. Vrtiska in 2004 and ran unopposed in 2008 until his support for an increase in the gas tax prompted Jerry Joy to launch a ultimately unsuccessful write in campaign [1]. Being the chairman of the Appropriations Committee, his primary duty has been to negotiate the fiscal budget with Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman.
