The Minister of Public Security of the People's Republic of China is a high level official of the PRC government. The minister is in charge of the Ministry of Public Security of the PRC, which is responsible for law enforcement, public safety and the police force in China. It should not be confused with the Ministry of State Security which is the primary Chinese intelligence and security agency.

According to the Constitution of the People's Republic of China, the Minister is nominated by the Premier and confirmed by the National People's Congress or its Standing Committee.
