Nieuw-Buinen in the municipality of Borger-Odoorn.

Nieuw-Buinen (52°58′N 6°57′E / 52.967°N 6.95°E / 52.967; 6.95) is a town in the Dutch province of Drenthe. It is a part of the municipality of Borger-Odoorn, and lies about 21 km north of Emmen.

The statistical area "Nieuw-Buinen", which also can include the surrounding countryside, has a population of around 5020.^[1]
