Specificity may refer to:

- In linguistics, specificity or definiteness is the distinction of whether the referent is identifiable or not.[1][2] The sentence Minna wants to meet a Norwegian has two readings: she wants to meet a certain Norwegian (specific), or she wants to meet any Norwegian (nonspecific).
