UNC's national championships were in 1996 and 1997 according to [1]

[edit] UNC Math Contest

UNC also has a math contest for seventh graders and above. I might put it in, but if I don't, someone else needs to do it. It's important to me.

I took out the paragraph on UNC's rugby team. It was obnoxious where it was. Make a new category under "club teams" or something if you want to talk about rugby. Or make a new page in Wiki for rugby.

I personally think mention of the rugby team would be fine. AustinBrister 23:57, 13 November 2007 (UTC)

Once again, the rugby section popped up under athletics and traditions. No need to be there. It doesn't fit there. I'm glad you're proud of UNC's rugby tradition, but it doesn't belong there.

I am confused as to why Rugby would not fit under "Athletics and Traditions". Is this because its considered a club sport? Rugby isn't sanctioned by the NCAA, but schools, like UNC, treat it as a varsity sport. Its not the Rugby club's fault they currently have the most successful athletic program on campus. Its not clear why you're not proud of the rugby tradition.

Someone needs to clean up the alumni section. When did Nick Nolte attend? To my knowledge, Joe Glenn isn't an alumnus. He just coached there. Etc, etc.

[edit] Merger with Rugby team

[edit] Support

I support the merger at this stage. There is not much substance to the Rugby team article and the little there is, is needed for the main article. gidonb (talk) 16:30, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Against

I've added some detail and am in the midst of cleaning up this article. We have tried a few times to put just a few sentences on the main Univ. No. Colorado page about the rugby team but people aren't for it. There is enough info for its own page I believe. —Preceding unsigned comment added by RuckNMaul1 (talkcontribs) 18:03, 4 March 2008 (UTC)

Club sports are in no way affiliated with te University. Intramurals have more of a right to be talked about than club sports —Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.86.123.33 (talk) 20:16, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Needs immediate attention

I've marked this as needing immediate attention as sentences just seem to tail off, there are almost no references, and there are a large number of non-free images, sometimes without rationales. I'll try to fix some of it if I have time, but I'm quite busy elsewhere and only stumbled across this from a disambiguation page. Hippo (talk) 02:17, 21 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Merger with UNCO West Campus Buildings

I agree with the tag that suggests the merging of the two. The West campus article is really small, and essentially just a list of the buildings located on west campus. I see no need for it to be a separate article. Pip (talk) 07:58, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
