The President Cup is a defunct football competition in Turkey. The tournament ran from 1966 to 1998. It is equivalent to the present-day Turkish Super Cup or TFF Super Cup. The Turkish Super Cup is an annual football game between the Turkish Premier Super League champion and the Turkish Cup champion. The cup is played according to the same system which once used for the President Cup.
The first one was played in Frankfurt, Germany on July 30, 2006 between Galatasaray and Beşiktaş J.K.. The match ended with the victory of Beşiktaş J.K..
The second one was played in Köln, Germany on August 5, 2007 between Fenerbahçe SK as the holder of the league title and Beşiktaş both as Turkey Cup and Turkish Super Cup title holder. The match ended with the victory of Fenerbahçe.
The third Super Cup match was played on 18 August 2008 between Turkcell Super League 2007-08 winners Galatasaray and Fortis Turkey Cup 2007-08 winners Kayserispor in Duisburg, MSV-Arena. Galatasaray won this game 2-1 with goals of Harry Kewell and Shabani Nonda, while Mehmet Topuz scored a last minute goal for his side as a sign of Kayserispor's effort.
Galatasaray is the most successful team of this competition with 11 trophies.
