- copied from article talk page:
There needs to be an article about the explosion, fire, and sinking of the steamboat Lucy Walker on the Ohio River near New Albany,IN on Oct. 23, 1844. This was one of the more deadly steamboat disasters in American History, and contributed to a Federal grant for the scientic study of boiler explosions, as well legislation on steamboat safety and establishment of the Steamboat Inspection Service. Steamboat fatalities like those aboard the Lucy Walker led to public concerns and Congressional debates over issues like compensation to victims by steamboat owners and captains; state vs. Federal regulation; Jacksonian states-rights vs Henry Clay's internal improvements. The crew of the Lucy Walker were mainly Negro slaves owned by Cherokee Joseph Vann; many had been involved in a slave revolt in 1842.
The victims of the loss of the Lucy Walker included a number of clergymen, a famous Virginia gentleman and horseman,an invenor from Washington,DC, various citizens from Kentucky, Mississippi, and Baltimore,Md, two citizens of the Cherokee Nation of Indian Territory, African-American slaves, and perhaps a failed-assassin of Cassius Marcellus Clay(a cousin of Henry Clay. It is likely that the disaster was caused by the owner's drunken obssession with winning a race with another steamboat. There are several eyewitness accounts and newspaper reports, but discrepencies abound in nearly every source and in most reference works. One of the witnesses was a German-born geologist. There are also recollections of the event by Vann's grandson and by former slaves (including the daughter of one of the slave crew members)who were interviewed by the WPA in 1937.
There is a lot more to this story. How should I proceed in writing a Wikipedia article about the fate of the Lucy Walker?

[edit] Railway stations
- Dalhousie Square Station (Montreal)
- Kozukue Station (Yokohama) This is the closest railway station (on the JR Yokohama Line) to International Stadium Yokohama, rather than Shin-Yokohama Station. This station is decorated with advertisements and publicity for Nissan, which is not the name-in-title sponsor for the FIFA Club World Cup. This may be why FIFA directs people to instead reach the stadium from the Shin-Yokohama Station.

- Amectran Exar-1 Electric Vehicle - Amectran is the manufacturer, and has no corresponding article currently. Exar-1 is their most notable vehicle for its nearness to production and publication. Amectran.com has several scanned in articles/memos from various sources for use as references. The majority of the site is unsubstantiated opinions and has no place on wikipedia, but a formal presentation and discussion should be had. As long as a stub is started, I am more than willing to began expanding.
